The Senior Actuarial Associate, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) assists the analysis of financial results, the annual financial planning process, and the measurement and maintenance of key financial metrics. This position supports the financial performance management and the profitability monitoring. The incumbent is responsible for providing actionable information that enables good business decisions along with designing and managing project initiatives and business processes within the Individual FP&A team.
This role could be hybrid or remote based on proximity to an office location.
Responsibilities:
- Performs static and dynamic validation and analysis of actuarial models for financial plan projection; and ensures accuracy of the projections and compliance with the departmental applications of that particular model.
- Compiles and analyzes data using statistical formulas and other actuarial methods.
- Assists regular and ad hoc management reporting that focuses on results and metrics for Individual Division financial planning and analysis (e.g., Life and Annuity business).
- Contributes to the annual planning process for Individual Division (e.g., Life and Annuity business).
- Utilizes comprehensive technology solutions to drive automation and process improvement.
- Assists in developing and implementing procedures to comply with new regulatory control or governance requirements.
- Responds to requests for information from actuaries, accountants, auditors, management, and other associates including external stakeholders; provides actuarial analysis where appropriate.
- Other duties assigned.
