POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for Actuarial Senior Manager for Commercial Dental Business to provide actuarial support and strategic leadership.
The Actuarial Senior Manager responsibilities include:
- Leads Dental pricing and valuation decisions that covers all segments and all local markets across the nation
- Works cross-functionally across the Dental organization, with responsibilities including pricing, experience studies, rate filings, rating tools, product development analysis, network support, underwriting support, planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Influences business partners including Underwriting, Sales, Network, Finance, Operation and Product to focus efforts and achieve hard-to-achieve goals.
- Serves as primary POC and SME for Dental related issues with a wide audience including peers within AETNA and external consulting firms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience
- Minimum of ASA or FSA required
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong technical, analytical, and financial skill
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior Commercial pricing/rating system/forecasting experience preferred, but not required
- Prior Dental and Vision experience preferred, but not required
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
