POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for Actuarial Senior Manager for Commercial Dental Business to provide actuarial support and strategic leadership.

The Actuarial Senior Manager responsibilities include:

  • Leads Dental pricing and valuation decisions that covers all segments and all local markets across the nation
  • Works cross-functionally across the Dental organization, with responsibilities including pricing, experience studies, rate filings, rating tools, product development analysis, network support, underwriting support, planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Influences business partners including Underwriting, Sales, Network, Finance, Operation and Product to focus efforts and achieve hard-to-achieve goals.
  • Serves as primary POC and SME for Dental related issues with a wide audience including peers within AETNA and external consulting firms.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience
  • Minimum of ASA or FSA required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong technical, analytical, and financial skill
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior Commercial pricing/rating system/forecasting experience preferred, but not required
  • Prior Dental and Vision experience preferred, but not required

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
