Description:

ABOUT YOUI

At Youi, we don’t believe in conforming to the status quo. We’re not your typical insurance company - and that goes for our approach to both selling insurance and hiring our team. With over 1,800 employees, we have ambitious goals to keep growing and continue delivering awesome insurance solutions across new products and distribution channels.
We pride ourselves on our diversity and individuality, both among our employees and the customers we serve. We believe that it is the unique combination of skills, perspectives, and experiences of our people that makes us truly stand out.
Our company values reflect this - we are a dynamic, human-focused, honest, and passionate team who provides awesome service to our customers. We recognise and value the contributions of each team member to our culture and success.
At Youi, we’re not afraid to be different, and we’re looking for people who share our values and want to be part of a team that is making a difference in the insurance industry

Responsibilities:

Come be a part of Youi, where innovation meets excellence in insurance. We’re renowned for our pioneering tech solutions, and now, as we embark on a cloud and tech modernisation journey, we’re looking for a Senior Agile Coach to guide the way.
In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the implementation of agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our Ways of Working (WoW). Collaborating closely with delivery teams, stakeholders, and leadership, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the adoption and evolution of agile practices and using data-driven insights to guide our journey.
Initially concentrating on boosting the agility of our delivery teams, your expertise becomes vital with the recent introduction of fusion teams at Youi. You’ll play a key role in ensuring alignment, consistency, and continuous enhancement in our agile practices.
To thrive in this position, you’ll need outstanding communication and collaboration skills, a readiness to embrace change, and a strong commitment for driving efficiency through agile principles. We’re seeking someone who embodies the agile mindset and is adept at applying a diverse range of agile practices and techniques. You’ll excel at establishing trusted relationships and lead individuals and teams with different levels of experience in agile ways of working through their continuous improvement journey.
If you’re ready to empower teams, inspire innovation, and shape the future of insurance technology, we invite you to join us at Youi.
Ideally, our preference is for someone to be situated at our headquarters on the Sunshine Coast. Nevertheless, we are open to the possibility of having someone based at our Fortitude Valley office. We operate with a hybrid approach, requiring office presence from Tuesday to Thursday at either location, while offering the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Key priorities:

  • Tailor Agile Ways of Working for optimal performance by gaining deep insights into Youi’s objectives and culture.
  • Promote customer-centricity, adaptability, continuous improvement, and responsiveness across the organisation.
  • Provide agile training to IT teams, stakeholders, and leaders to foster ownership and decision-making.
  • Encourage experimentation and learning within the organisation.
  • Execute a proactive change management plan to address challenges and resistance.
  • Coach team members to promote self-organisation and high performance.
  • Enhance software delivery processes for improved productivity and quality.
  • Balance autonomy and efficiency by standardising practices and tooling.
  • Monitor key metrics to measure effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Support the adoption of agile ways of working across Youi, including delivery and Fusion teams.
  • Prioritise team needs, foster collaboration, and empower teams to take ownership.
