Description:

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

We’re looking for someone who knows a lot about Agile methodologies and has experience in figuring out the best Agile approach for an organisation that isn’t tied to one specific method. You may have worked in a key role on a Product Team, like a Product Owner or Scrum Master, and knowledge of the industry is nice but certainly not essential.
To perform well in this role you’ll need to have strong coaching and influencing skills, experience of coaching individuals at all layers of an organisation from Senior Leaders to junior squad members, and be quick to establish effective relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

BUSINESS / ROLE OVERVIEW

The Strategy & Programmes team is at the heart of rapid growth and value creation plan, supporting the board in answering the big strategic questions and determining where the company can best seize growth opportunities, creating competitive advantage and driving shareholder value.
To sustain the rapid growth, we’ve created a new role for a Senior Agile Delivery Manager. Reporting to the Head of Strategy / Programmes, the role focuses on enhancing our Agile delivery practices across the business. This involves nurturing our community of Product Owners, devising an Agile coaching plan, and continually refining our quarterly and annual planning processes.
As our Senior Agile Delivery Manager, you’ll work with senior leaders in our technology, customer, and commercial functions to improve Agile practices and define the best Agile approach the business. You’ll also be responsible for organising quarterly planning sessions that bring together business leaders, Product Teams, and suppliers to address upcoming dependencies, risks, and resource needs. You’ll conduct Agile coaching sessions with business leaders, devise a coaching plan aimed at boosting the performance of priority Product teams, and address urgent issues within Product teams as they arise.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to shape delivery practices and foster common ways of working, and you’ll oversee the development of our maturing Product Owner community. This entails designing and facilitating regular Product Owner sessions to promote knowledge sharing and skill-building, as well as maintaining a digital resource library to support them.
The role will lead efforts to optimise change portfolio governance, including our approach to tracking Product/Platform team progress. You’ll also be responsible for preparing reports for the Portfolio Governance Board and establishing forums for escalation and executive decision-making.
