Description:

SUMMARY

Leads the A/C integration function within the IPT.
Acts as the customer/RSP Interface for all Aircraft integration issues relevant to the IPT.
Responsible for ensuring that all A/C integration functions required by the IPT are carried out, and that all AIB DMU deliverables are met on time and to correct quality.
Reports to IPT Engineering project Team lead.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • An understanding of mechanical/ aerospace engineering principles
  • An Understanding of Product Design within an Aerospace environment including aspects such as structured Design Reviews, Certification, Requirements and Configuration Management etc.
  • A Level of project leadership is required as a lot of the DMU Deliverable work will be completed by the wider A/C integration team in both PB and WEC.
  • Experience with 3D CAD packages, Catia V5 preferred.
  • Experience in the design of Products used in Aircraft Interiors is desirable
  • It is desirable that the candidate should be able to work towards obtaining (or has already obtained) a level of Checking signatory as per M1020.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead AIB DMU deliverables (2, 3 and 6) covering the full lifecycle of the Program as required by Program Scope.
  • Ensure all DMU deliverables are compliant with the correct requirements.
  • Lead the FUID resolution process with respect to the customer/RSP.
  • Lead any other A/C integration work packages for the IPT.
  • Support other IPT deliverables as required (eg. GAPA)
  • Support JCR TCD responses and sign off on behalf of A/C Integration where needed.
  • Support the HoV Definiton phase and CVS/CVSS process.
  • Support other Non-IPT A/C Integration work as required.
  • Lead continuous improvement type activity with respect to A/C integration processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical interface with Customers on matters of DMU, maintaining a pro-active Customer-driven attitude. Develop Customer relationships based on transparency and trust.
  • Effective communication across different levels of the Organization to ensure alignment at working and management level.
  • To support process and procedures in line with signatory delegation of M1020
  • Travel to other CA or Customer sites may be required depending on Programme needs
  • Comply with Engineering processes and methodologies.
