Responsibilities:

ORGANIZATION & ROLE

Key technical leader, Senior Analog Hardware Engineer/Architect, that contributes to the concept, design, implementation, release to production, and customer adoption of new high power and precision ATE instrumentation.
Typical instrument examples include high performance Device Power Supply pins and High Power VI instruments for the PMIC, Mobile Application, and Automotive markets.
Typical design challenges include high speed power amplifiers, high density POLs, floating resource design, high performance data converter system design, high voltage design, high current design, high power design, thermal design, high precision/accuracy designs, complex calibration schemes, design for reliability, design for COGs targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architecture: Work with key technical leads to define the scalable framework that our analog and power instrumentation should be based upon.
  • Enabling Technology: Identification of key areas of enabling technology investment required to make our product visions a reality. Define and advocate for the funding for those investments.
  • Design Methodology: Participate and guide technical teams in a disciplined approach to design that proceeds efficiently from analysis->simulation->prototyping->first article->product release
  • Design Trade-offs: Clearly articulate design trade-offs available to navigate overconstrained design problems. Keep technical teams moving forward by removing technical roadblocks.
  • Problem Resolution: Solve and/or guide technical teams through the solution of complex multi-disciplinary problems
  • Mentoring: Provide on the job training and coaching to less senior engineers
  • Risk Identification/Reduction: Take complex, ill-defined problems and break them down into concrete actionable steps to reduce risk. Cleary define the mitigations to technical risk. Communicate the risk contingencies to key stakeholders in the organization.
