What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Director, Variable Compensation, the Senior Analyst, Accounting, Variable Compensation will occupy a key role within the HR team, where they will be mainly responsible for the variable compensation accounting process at Fiera Capital. This person will also participate in operational audits (internal and external), related reporting, documentation and process optimization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in month-end close processes, including posting entries in the variable compensation journal.
  • Perform certain complex accounting entries and ensure that results are accurate.
  • Carry out various monthly, quarterly and annual analyses to understand results and balance sheet items, and be able to explain variances from the previous period.
  • Prepare compensation reports for senior management.
  • Respond to requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Participate in process improvement in a changing environment.
  • Participate in the budget process with the Director of Finance.
  • Actively participate in calculating the incentive compensation plan.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • CPA accounting designation or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual in English and French (for U.S. and European operations)
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent management of priorities and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and summarizing skills
  • Ability to question processes, find and propose effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Proven ability to work in a team and collaborate closely with others
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Discretion and protection of confidential information
