Description:

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS

Bilingual (English and French). This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to provide support to clients and employees located outside Quebec or who require services in a language other than French.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration and an accounting designation
  • Four to eight years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Ariba (an asset)
  • Bilingual (spoken and written), French and English essentia

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including regulatory reports.
  • Produce and reconcile investment reports.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Reconcile and ensure that quarterly tax provisions are properly recorded.
  • Participate in preparing tax files for various companies.
  • Help coordinate with tax authorities.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of information in administrative and accounting systems.
  • Assist in preparing the year-end audit file.
  • Participate with Senior Analyst to prepare annual budget estimates.
  • Produce annual budget estimates and develop special projects.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement and implementation of internal controls.
  • Analyze data integrity and apply best practices to plan and make data-driven recommendations to improve overall results.
  • Develop, manage and improve processes to ensure efficient data analysis.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of quality in service provided in terms of timeliness, accuracy and user-friendliness.
  • Ensure that financial management practices, systems and controls are developed, implemented and maintained in accordance with policies and requirements.
  • Establish positive relationships with various client business teams to become an “integral part of the team”, providing effective financial control, consultation and support services.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
