Our reputable manufacturing client based in Kamloops, BC is in search of a talented Senior FP& A individual for maternity leave coverage. If you are passionate about the FP& A field, have a strong Project Accounting and Cost Analysis background, this role may be the right one for you! This opportunity is a 12-month engagement with a public company and offers a creative environment to collaborate with the team and other key stakeholders of the company. The general team culture within the company is collaborative, supportive and hard-working. This contract has the potential to lead to an extension or lead to a permanent role. Please note this role requires to be 100% working on site
This Senior FP& A engagement will require the individual to work closely with the executive team of the company and be a true Finance Business Partner in supporting business operation decisions. Main responsibilities include:
Prepare the annual budget and monthly forecast with department leads and review monthly forecast activities to ensure expenses and funding are aligned with expectations
Perform monthly, and quarterly variance analysis and develop a rolling forecast
Design and build dashboard and scenario modeling to support business growth and client acquisition.
Report out month-end and quarter-end results to various stakeholders within the organization
Identify business risks and opportunities as well as report on performance indicators
Assist with key automation projects such as the implementation of an accounting software system, integration of the financial system with other critical systems, and the utilization of a centralized data management solution;
Review account reconciliations, and analyze data and supporting information to complete month-end analysis, financial reports, budget variances and accruals;
To be considered for this engagement, you are a designated Accounting professional and with at least 5+ years of financial planning, budgeting and analysis experience. You are a strong communicator with a customer-centric mindset.
5-8 years of Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis experience
Strong computer skills and proficiency in a variety of applications including Microsoft Suite and FP& A software applications;
Proven ability to work with complex spreadsheets and interpret large volumes of business data to aid in the decision-making process;
Solid analytical and organization skills to perform in a detail-oriented environment;
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, understand their requirements, instill confidence, and build an environment that fosters growth and inclusion;
Ability to communicate effectively verbally, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Ability to use judgment and tact in providing information to internal and external parties;
Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills;
Demonstrated success in multitasking and performing effectively in a fast-paced working environment with multiple deadlines; and
Experience with reviewing and conducting policy analyses to prepare accurate reports and recommendations to a wide-ranging audience.
