ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Contributing to the effective and timely delivery of General Ledger and Fixed Assets activities, including month and year end closure activities, routine journals, provisions, accounts reconciliation ensure all the requests are actioned within the agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement)
• Ad-hoc analyses on balance sheet or P&L accounts for End Markets within their responsibility
• Be responsible for performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts, according to the existing policies and procedures
• Be responsible for allocating the bank balances on time and in full, as per the existing policies and procedures
• Identify and actively pursue improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of processes in General Ledger
• Ensure that queries from customers / employees / business divisions /suppliers are resolved in line with the relevant Service Level Agreement. Any issues not resolved are handled in accordance with the issue resolution policy. Increase any urgent issues to the Manager/Supervisor within agreed timescales.
• Conduct all relevant validations & controls as per the defined schedule, thereby helping to identify and rectify processing errors on a timely basis.
• Performing analysis in an accurate and timely manner, driving open items’ reduction; maintaining Key Performance Indicators (meaningful metric) in agreed global targets
• Maintain a well-documented process e.g. through the TLDs or other work instruction.
• Ensure 100% compliance to Sox for controls in scope

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Basic accounting knowledge
1-2 yrs. experience in a relevant role
SAP knowledge – relevant modules
Good English level
