ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about contributing to the skills and education sector? We’re seeking a candidate with strong research and writing skills to undertake skills needs and industry demand analysis. The role will use these findings to guide how we plan our training portfolio to meet the current and future needs of learners, industry, and communities across NSW.
As a research and insights expert (internally known as Senior Analyst – Skills Portfolio Planning), you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning our training portfolio with industry needs and the demand for skills. Your responsibilities include undertaking comprehensive secondary desktop research and contributing to the development and renewal of the TAFE NSW training portfolio across the diverse skill areas we serve.
This is a 12 month position vacant due to parental leave.

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Strong written communication skills, creativity, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in conducting thorough desktop research using a range of sources
- Proven ability to provide evidence-based strategic advice and recommendations through quality written reports and briefings.
- The ability to draw on knowledge of the tertiary education sector and/or changing industry and labour market trends is also highly desirable
