Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Analyst at Origin Energy is crucial for enhancing electricity price forecasting capabilities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Market Modelling, this role involves developing advanced models, including machine learning, accuracy tracking models and creating reporting dashboards to interpret complex data. The position supports the improvement of forecasting accuracy and provides valuable insights through sophisticated data analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate forecast results to end users.
- Develop and implement data collection and analytics systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Working with the team on development of ML models to improve modelling inputs, on diverse subjects such as bidding behaviour to renewable generation prediction.
- Building processes to track accuracy of the model inputs and outputs against actuals.
- Manage and monitor model performance.
- Contribute to novel approaches to assessing price risk and opportunity costs in decisions.
- Present findings to relevant stakeholders
