JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Analyst will join the Portfolio Management Finance team within the
Infrastructure business group, reporting directly to the Vice President, and supporting the Director. The objective of the team is to partner effectively with our each of our operating businesses and internal stakeholders to drive performance, generate value, and act as a trusted resource on asset management matters.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting with developing, maintaining, and overseeing Brookfield Infrastructure’s enterprise risk management and ESG programs across our portfolio of global. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Vice President and Director, Portfolio Management to identify emerging issues arising from the rapid growth of the business and developing long term solutions, further strengthening the foundation to support the continued growth of the business. The Senior Analyst will also support onboarding new assets into Brookfield’s operations processes. This role provides the foundation, guidance and exposure towards a successful and challenging career in asset management. The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent interpersonal skills, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and has a strong foundation in analytical thinking.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Vice President and Director, Portfolio Management in the development, implementation and maintenance of ESG, risk, and other asset management programs across portfolio companies
  • Develop an understanding of operating businesses and ESG key performance drivers
  • Support ESG management and reporting for both public and private fund purposes
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly risk presentations for Brookfield senior management and Brookfield Infrastructure Partners Board of Directors
  • Provide oversight of quarterly/annual financial reporting submissions from operating assets including reviewing growth capital expenditure projects for variance analysis from budget to actuals, rate of return, and scope delays
  • Frequent communication with operating asset finance teams and with public and private fund finance teams to support investor relations, board reporting, and ESG initiatives
  • Assist in overseeing the managed risk system across the Infrastructure Group
  • Identify and communicate ideas to improve and streamline processes in the context of a growing operating platform
  • Research and communicate evolving ESG frameworks, networks, and regulations and synthesize the information for the portfolio management team
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new acquisitions into Brookfield’s asset management program
  • Support the business partners in executing the Group’s portfolio governance processes
  • Strategic ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required

Requirements:

  • Recently qualified CPA, CA, ideally with Big 4 experience and a proven track record of high performance
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and is a team player, willing to always support the team
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability; willingness to dive into the details”
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, including the ability to review and update financial models and prepare high quality presentations
