Based in Sydney, we are looking for a Senior Analyst who has a passion for helping clients manage and optimise the governance, processes and controls integral to complying with their regulatory requirements regarding employee entitlement. You will be part of a team that brings together skills in process transformation, compliance and data analytics.
What will your typical day look like?
On a typical project, you’ll start by engaging with clients to understand their compliance challenges. You’ll dive into current practices, and bringing together your insights and the client’s knowledge of their systems and processes, collaboratively develop sustainable and practical ways to manage regulatory risks, and comply with complex regulations, usually with a view to embed data and automation at the core.

In order to achieve the above, the candidate will be required to:

  • Talk with key stakeholders to understand how processes and controls to support compliance currently operate, and identify gaps and / or opportunities for improvement
  • Work with functional and technical stakeholders to provide actionable insights to improve the organisation’s regulatory compliance environment, and support the transformation / development of processes and controls to achieve their compliance objectives
  • Lead day-to-day project fieldwork, liaise with working group stakeholders, and manage less experienced staff
  • Present insights and recommendations to Senior Management and Executive stakeholders
  • Support business development activities including building solid business relationships internally and externally, developing marketing material, preparing proposals, and participating in presentations
  • Support the continuous enhancement and development of new and existing solutions to assist clients to solve complex regulatory challenges and manage risk
  • Developing our people, and yourself, through formal training programmes, on-the-job training and coaching

About the team
Working across a wide range of industries and the public sector, our team advises, implements and delivers solutions that fuse process and control re-design with analytics to support decision-making. Our team is an inclusive, dynamic, and growing team committed to driving innovation, delivering client outcomes and making an impact that matters. The strength of our team lies in the diversity of the background and skillset of each member, fostered in a collaborative environment.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you.

YOU MAY HAVE ALL OR SOME OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years’ experience working with business process transformation, regulatory compliance or internal / external audit
  • A solid grounding in designing, interpreting, and communicating governance and control driven solutions / results in response to risk issues
  • Experience in driving change in processes and controls
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and transforming processes and controls to prevent and detect regulatory breaches (experience with HR and Payroll processes would be highly regarded / preferred)
  • Data analytics skills (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau) are highly desirable but not required - a natural curiosity for all things digital would suffice!
  • Ability to:
o Uncover opportunities to optimise our clients’ processes and associated controls
o Help clients identify strategic opportunities to reach win-win solutions for both our clients and their employees / stakeholders

  • Track record of leading teams and developing junior team members to reach their potential
  • Strong analytical, presentation and report writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills which are highly regarded and position you as a trusted advisor with your stakeholders
