Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide demographic and high level statistical analysis and advice on a broad range of demographic and social issues.- Compile and publish demographic and social statistics for Queensland and manage QGSO demographic web content.- Provide and/or oversee high level technical advice, information and support to clients and senior officers on complex and diverse issues.- Manage and contribute to a suite of statistical programs used to undertake routine analyses.- Exercise judgement to coordinate the management of client requirements and competing team priorities.- Prepare and coordinate preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, documents, speeches and correspondence.- Lead project teams as required and directly project manage complex activities. Ensure outputs satisfy Office standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies.- Participate in strategic and business planning, coordination of workflows, resource management and quality assurance.- Represent the Office at state/federal conferences and internal/external high level meetings and interdepartmental working groups.- Foster effective networks and consultation between the Office and industry, academia, other levels of Government and other stakeholders.SUCCESS CRITERIA: To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: - Experience managing complex projects.- Experience modelling population and dwelling projections.- High level experience using ‘R’ to analyse and model data and create data visualisations.- Experience mentoring others in technical skills.- High level written and verbal communication skills.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/570944/24Closing Date: Monday, 01 July 2024This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License
