Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.
BB is undergoing rapid transformation, and Risk Management is centre stage. You’ll be part of a movement where you’ll play an integral role in our ongoing commitment to deliver better customer and business outcomes via effective risk management. The BB Line 1 Central Controls Office (CCO) consists of a distributed team of risk professionals to ensure effective oversight, governance and management of risks and controls; this high visibility and high impact role sits in the Conduct Risk team within the CCO.

YOUR EXPERIENCE LOOKS LIKE:

  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Strong data analytical and research skills; proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, SQL) highly valued
  • Strategic thinking and a drive to get things done, being able to work on numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills across a range of stakeholder groups
  • Previous experience in financial services, Big 4 and/or risk management highly valued

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering customer-focused initiatives, specifically operational uplift of processes and controls, to improve our risk profile
  • Supporting high quality implementation of projects that leads to improved internal and external customer outcomes
  • Designing and developing conduct risk monitoring indicators
  • Analysing data for reporting and insights
  • Supporting across key risk governance forums
  • Providing conduct advice to the business to ensure sufficient regard is given to good customer outcomes in projects and Business As Usual activities
