Description:
YOUR SKILLS:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or business (or CFA designation)
More than 5 years of working in a public sector or financial industry setting.
Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements, and accounting concepts, as well as economic concepts.
Ability to quickly absorb, analyze, and act upon information, while demonstrating strong proficiency with figures and the ability to maintain accuracy and be detail-oriented while complying with deadlines.
Solid communication skills, verbal and written. Fluency in French is a plus, but not mandatory.
Highly organized with the ability to multitask and work under time pressure.
Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Sovereign and International Public Finance team as a Senior Analyst , based in our Toronto office. The successful candidate will assume the role of primary analyst on a diverse credit list that will include various Canadian public sector entities and sovereigns. You will meet regularly with issuers and investors on analytical matters, assist in resolving client needs, contribute to media requests in conjunction with senior members of the team, and take the lead on external meetings related to your credit list. The successful candidate will also publish timely and insightful credit reports and, as well as thought leadership pieces. You will also be an important contributor to our internal committee discussions, and a strong representative for the organization when interacting with government officials, investors, intermediaries, and the media.
