Description:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar (mandatory)
  • Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Certified
  • Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) (desired)
  • Extensive experience within a financial services organisation, as well as business experience across a variety of business areas at an operational and strategic level
  • Insurance experience is preferred
  • Experience in analysis and executive reporting
  • Proven track record in managing relationships based on mutual trust and respect with multiple stakeholders

As Senior Analyst you will provide management reporting, forecasting and budgeting services to improve the Group’s performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide management reporting, forecasting and budgeting services for Consumer Property Claims across Claims Performance (Operational & Financial), NH Attritional (Operational) and Expense & FTE.
  • Provide finance support for Event response including oversight of NH Event CHE allocation and recoveries.
  • Provide financial advice and insight to support the achievement of business plans, including proactively highlighting and driving resolution of business performance issues and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain monthly forecasts for the BAU cost base & FTE
  • Liaise with Consumer Property Claims leadership team and directs, including attendance at various meetings as part of the Leadership Team
  • Deliver annual Claims Performance budgets for the Consumer Property Claims business, covering Financial NIC, Operational Working Loss and NH Attritional
  • Oversight of project & benefits forecasts and reporting
  • Provide expert financial advice / modelling on proposed projects / business cases / benefits forecasting
