Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in treasury/cash management role or a similar position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or accounting.
  • Computer and systems literate. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Excel and working knowledge of financial management software (SAP)
  • CFA or CPA title is an asset
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic: 20%

  • Quarterly review of all Treasury-related policies and procedures to ensure the relevance to current Finance Operations.
  • To ensure and maintain visibility in Aldo’s global cash and to ensure accurate cash forecasts with input from other internal sources driving the figures.
  • Provide guidance and input on FX and other market exposure risk such as various commodities, interests and other.
  • Contribute to the implementation of monetary policy and the assessment of monetary risks.
  • Support the renewal process for the company’s credit facilities

Operational: 80%

  • Responsible for the maintenance and tracking of Aldo’s global cash position and presentations used for cash flow projections.
  • Analyzing the weekly sales and expenses of the company’s entities versus its forecast and addressing any major variances.
  • Assist in the creation of a yearly budget for the Treasury department’s financial costs by analyzing past trends and incorporating future-looking assumptions.
  • Monitor the Treasury department’s financial costs by keeping up-to-date schedules relating to interest and other financial costs; preparing monthly journal entries for expense tracking
  • Ensure that Bank Account Management policies are followed across the company. Manage bank accounts (opening and closing when needed) and relationships with banks (providing the necessary documentation such as KYCs)
  • Report sales for accounts receivable insurance purposes to the insurance agency and ensure the related policy premiums are covered on time.
  • Update and maintain the different currency exchange rates that are used across the company. Ensure that the rates are up to date and functional within the systems used.
  • Provide FX Forecasts to internal stakeholders, which will determine the various exchange rates used across all entities throughout each selling season (Fall/Winter, Spring/Summer).
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity is available and bank accounts are funded to meet ongoing operational requirements. Recommend borrowing to the Director of Treasury when funding shortfalls are assessed and oversee accurate execution, reporting and accounting for drawdowns.
  • Assist to oversee the company’s credit management policy and credit/collections functions while identifying areas of risk in delinquency and customer performance and action plans on mitigating the risk
  • Assist and monitor in all of AR insurance policy (sales declarations, financial data review and claims process)
  • Assist and monitor in the management of Aldo Trade Finance activities in the form of standby letters of credit
  • Responsible for the maintenance and tracking of FX and Interest Rates financial risk by assisting in the execution of derivatives trades and overseeing proper settlement.
  • Produce and execute analysis on the optimal mix of banking partners and bank account structure.
