Description:
Location: Berlin, office-first. For this role we are looking for candidates who are willing and able to relocate to Berlin.
At SumUp we are building innovative solutions to support small merchants to start, run, and scale their business. We offer a diverse range of products that integrate seamlessly into our user’s lives by pushing the boundaries of financial technology. From concept to deployment, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our products.
SumUp has a SuperApp that hosts all of the different products we offer to our merchants - from business accounts to invoicing to managing payments. You’ll be an integral member of our development team, and have the opportunity to contribute to creating groundbreaking mobile applications that set new standards in user experience and functionality.
We take our engineering excellence seriously at SumUp and have exciting opportunities to work with a team of highly skilled engineering experts on customer-facing products such as our Global Bank, Consumer App, Expansion, and many more.
ABOUT THE TEAM
You’ll be able to connect with mobile engineers from all over the company as our initiatives are far-reaching. You’ll experience a wide range of different verticals: maintaining CI/CD for Mobile projects, creating tooling for developers, and providing infrastructure & architecture supporting our modularised codebase.
We maintain a high bar in engineering and aim to continually increase it. Our initiatives have long-term impact at scale. We believe in open communication and constant learning over strict rules. If you’re looking for the chance to innovate and help millions of small merchants succeed - join us!
What you’ll do
- In the first few weeks, you’ll dive into the code and infrastructure, and get to know our development workflow
- You’ll develop major features that impact our developer community
- You’ll work closely with the rest of the team to drive our roadmap and design our developer experience
- You’ll help us rethink problems we’ve solved before differently as requirements evolve
- You’ll build a wealth of knowledge about our complex problem domain, as well as its implications on the long-term health of our project – and how to manage it cleanly
