This person will be a problem solver, experienced and comfortable working in an international team. Due to the fast-paced nature of our small organization, this person will be best set up for success coming from a finance or energy sector background. In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Openlink Endur.
  • Tangible working experience with commodities; including knowledge of PNL, Pricing etc.
  • Substantiated experience with deal modelling and system configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot scripts/applications in different languages such as .Net, C#, Python, VBA etc.
  • Proven ability to provide workaround resolutions, root cause analysis and major incident management.
  • Fluent English language skills

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our growing technology team, supporting our entire suite of business applications. This role will be based in our Berlin office on Ernst-Reuter-Platz, with a hybrid working arangement of 3-days per week in the office.
Please note, due to the nature of our service desk, this role is required to work as part of a shift rotation. This involves covering some on-call shifts during weekends, bank holidays and nights. This requirement is the same for all members of the team, and is reimbursed both financially and with time in lieu.

This will be a full-time role, owning the following responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all system issues including custom in-house software and vendor solutions.
  • Effectively record and monitor progress of all issues raised, providing feedback to the business users as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external IT teams to resolve cross system issues.
  • Ensure that best practices are applied to system support, upgrades, testing and procedures at all times.
  • Manage cases, requests and enhancements using existing tools and processes.
  • Ensure that solution and application support documentation is maintained to the highest quality and accuracy.
