Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in law, dispute resolution or business management and extensive experience in conciliation, arbitration or alternative dispute resolution
- Proven experience leading or conducting arbitration hearings and determining disputes in a fair, impartial and professional way
- A desire and capability to mentor and develop other decision makers with less arbitration experience, and inspire a cohesive and collaborative team
- Highly developed legal research, writing, conceptual and analytical skills to help you set the standard for the arbitration of complex disputes, and make appropriate determinations supported by well-articulated and reasoned judgement and decision making
- Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience working within the Victoria WorkCover scheme or similar schem
