They are passionate about creating environments that prioritize comfort, functionality, and well-being. As they continue to expand their presence in the senior living and care sector, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to lead their projects and elevate their design processes and outcomes.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Architect specialising in senior living and care projects, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering high-quality architectural solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial concept design to final delivery. This includes documentation, contract administration, quality control, project management, client management, and negotiation. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that my clients projects meet the highest standards of design excellence and client satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience in senior living and care projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex architectural projects from concept to completion.
  • Extensive experience in concept design, documentation, contract administration, quality control, project management, client management, and negotiation.
  • Strong technical proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to senior living and care facilities.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, with a commitment to elevating design processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the conceptual design process for senior living and care projects, incorporating innovative design solutions that prioritize functionality, accessibility, and resident well-being.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project manuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee contract administration activities, including bid management, contract negotiations, and change order management, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the design and construction phases, conducting regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design intent and standards.
  • Manage all aspects of project management, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication, collaboration, and responsiveness, addressing client needs and concerns to achieve project goals.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
