Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Architect within Security Architecture, you will be responsible for providing expert technology advice and guidance to Business and Service Owners within a portfolio/domain to assist the business in the formulation of technology solutions to achieve business outcomes.
Some responsibilities include:
- Promoting the security architecture process, outcomes, and value proposition to the organisation.
- Engaging, informing, influencing, and negotiating with stakeholders to ensure stakeholders remain engaged and committed to the right security outcomes
- Complying with the Westpac governance processes, to ensure stakeholders understand their role in delivery and that the required decision making, and escalation processes are in place to help achieve the required outcome
- Ensuring adherence to Enterprise methodologies and processes, such as the Project Execution Framework methodology (PEFm) and Solution Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) and provide input to develop and improve such methodologies and processes
- Strong technical competency and experience, with ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
- Experience delivering core security architecture outcomes through assessment of threats that translate into mitigating security controls and solution recommendations, that is also designed to meet compliance with information security and architecture policies & standards
- Some experience in the realisation of security control capabilities such as through development, configuration, customisation, or onboarding efforts.
- Providing technical information security consulting on multiplatform IT environments and subject matter expert advice to project teams.
- Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions
- Maintaining and applying security architectural knowledge and investigate and recommend improvement opportunities to ensure Westpac remains innovative and up to date with market leading security technologies and industry trends
- Assisting the development and execution of a communication and education plan for security architecture.
