Techforce have recently partnered with a leading mineral sands industry client and are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Asset Improvement Engineer to join their team.
With the opportunity to start immediately, you will be working from their Regional Bunbury location. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate. The role involves planning, managing, execution, and commissioning/completion of strategic capital electrical and instrumentation programs. This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for an experienced Engineer seeking the next challenge in the industry.
The role will also require working closely and effectively with the Production, Maintenance and T&I departments to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of key equipment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide technical leadership and support for E&I capital projects.
- Ensure plant governance and compliance for E&I statutory equipment, methods, and processes.
- Develop and manage medium-long term E&I asset management plans to achieve business goals.
- Maintain systems/processes & procedures related to E&I of the plant.
- Administer budgets for E&I projects/programs and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Develop life cycle cost analysis for asset strategy optimisation.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major plant E&I detractors.

Responsibilities:
- Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant post-graduate experience and in-depth knowledge in:
- Project management of capital projects for plant E&I systems.
- HV/LV Switchgear MCC, HV Distribution, Transformer and Packaged equipment.
- HV maintenance management systems.
- Australian E&I standards and Codes.
- Experience in preparing technical specifications, scope of works, and capital project documentation.
- CPEng Registration is advantageous.
- Strong organisational, time, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Australian Citizenship or PR status is ideal; however, for the right candidate, Visa holders will be considered.
- Valid C-Class driver’s license.
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain.
