DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Seven or more years’ experience in consulting, government relations, public affairs, or corporate affairs, of which at least four spent in the Singapore government
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and communication skills
  • Has a flair towards building network and developing new business pipeline
  • Able to write and speak authoritatively and with a clear point of view on issues including regional investment, trade and politics in Southeast Asia
  • Excellent command of business English
  • Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing priorities
  • A dynamic, self-starter, resilient and autonomous attitude with an appreciation of diversity and value of teamwork
  • A problem-solver, with high energy and a passion for finding solutions and creative thinking
  • Experience in digital economy and healthcare desirable

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

AGA is currently seeking a full-time Senior Associate to be based in our Singapore headquarters. You will lead AGA’s Singapore-based programs, leveraging your relationships in the Singapore government and understanding of Singapore’s policy and political landscape. You will monitor legislative and policy changes that could impact our clients and identify challenges and opportunities. You will also support client service across our regional portfolio, working alongside our clients to help them navigate complex regulatory, political and economic issues. Working closely with the firm’s Directors, you will support business development and visibility-building programs.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working in Singapore’s public administration in policy-focused roles, in policy consulting, or in strategic communications. He or she will be eager to learn, have strong project management skills, be a self-starter, understand the interplay of public policy and business, and be able to engage external as well as internal counterparts.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop public policy strategies for clients in Singapore and regionally
  • Lead structuring and problem solving
  • Maintain and manage client relationships to ensure client satisfaction
  • Deliver high-quality services and products to clients
  • Develop and grow network by, among others, attending stakeholder meetings, public forums, or industry events
  • Support business development and outreach activities in Singapore to build business pipeline
  • Support office management, including managing junior consultants
  • Work on special projects as needed and assigned
