Barings APAC Real Estate is seeking an outstanding candidate to join the Client Portfolio Management function as a Senior Associate.
This role is responsible for executing on product launches and growth initiatives across APAC funds and separate managed accounts (SMA’s), as well as supporting the investment team and investor clients with the ongoing management of funds, SMA’s, and client experiences. The individual will have direct access to investment/portfolio management and sales/distribution, as well as exposure to property across a range of sectors and risk profiles.
A successful candidate for the role will have a desire to succeed in the investment/portfolio management and client portfolio management fields and have the capability to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple global internal and external stakeholders. The role has long-term opportunities for progression and development within the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage with senior product management, investment team and global colleagues to assist and execute on product launches and growth initiatives across APAC funds and separate managed accounts (SMA’s).
  • Support fund raising for equity and debt funds and SMA’s, including coordinating global roads-shows.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all regularly scheduled and ad-hoc marketing materials such as pitch books and fact sheets.
  • Point of contact for client queries managing multiple work streams, RFP deliverables, ad-hoc data requests, maintaining a client data room and assisting with onboarding requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing client base - quarterly reporting, quarterly update calls, annual advisory board meetings, ad-hoc queries.
  • Collaborate with multiple business units; Legal, Compliance, Structuring and Global team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data and deliverables.
  • Contribute to research on fundraising trends, including competitor analysis.
  • Monitor production workflows and proactively communicate progress status.
  • Create and maintain CRM reports - tracking sales activity, prospecting status, and team deliverables.
  • Track progress against fund and SMA ESG initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience within a related field.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, sales, communications, or related field
  • Strong written and communication skills for preparing presentations, reports, and proposals.
  • Relationship management skills and team player with a can-do attitude, drive, high level of integrity, professionalism, pride in quality of work, and takes ownership of tasks.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
