Description:

We are a modern Australian law firm with a leading reputation. We focus on exceptional service, operational excellence and being at the forefront of employee experience. We work closely with Australian and international businesses, organisations and governments.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Lawyer who has experience in a corporate or commercial team in private practice/in-house. You will also have the following skills and experience:

  • Have the ability to demonstrate exceptional drafting skills and an eye for detail
  • Be an independent thinker, comfortable with learning new concepts quickly
  • Participate in activities that build teamwork and relationships
  • Working with government, on matters for government, or in a regulatory environment
  • Acquire skills in building and sustaining long term client relationships

In turn, you will be joining a close-knit team that is supportive and will provide you with the opportunity to develop and progress your career.

Responsibilities:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our team and work with a wide range of government and not for profit clients on complex commercial, regulatory and administrative law matters.
These include energy, procurement, commercial and technology advice, projects and transactions which will support our expanding State and Commonwealth government practices. The role will require the successful candidate to advise on procurement strategies and market engagement, drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on contract performance, administrative law, advising on legislative development, implementation and compliance, and providing regulatory advice.
This is a great opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of the drivers governing how government clients operate and to become an expert in this space.
