About the Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) division
You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team within EDB’s Brand, Marketing and Communications division. The Communications and Media Relations team focuses on enhancing EDB’s corporate reputation and shaping positive perceptions of industries we develop through public relations strategies and campaigns. The role involves working closely with senior management on issues management and ensuring alignment of messaging with internal and external stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

  • Preparing media materials such as press releases and media briefs for EDB’s events and announcements
  • Managing media relations with international and domestic media
  • Collaborating across teams to develop and execute integrated marketing and communications plans, including using social media to amplify key messages and developing content for owned/earned channels
  • Providing support to senior EDB spokespersons for their media and speaking opportunities as well as identifying platforms where EDB can gain mindshare
  • Providing communications counsel to internal stakeholders for their media engagements
  • Undertaking regular reviews to assess and measure the effectiveness of messaging and communications efforts and propose enhancements, where applicable
  • Media monitoring to track EDB mentions in mainstream media and news of significance to EDB
  • Other tasks, as assigned

[What we are looking for]

  • At least 2 years of corporate communications, public affairs or journalism experience in either the public or private sector
  • Strong understanding of the domestic and international media landscape and proven track record in public relations and media management
  • A keen ability to foster strong partnerships, such as engaging and influencing external stakeholders to meet objectives
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to identify and distill pertinent issues, draw conclusions, and develop solutions that address the organisation’s communications needs
  • Familiar with social listening and media analytics, and adept at taking a data-driven approach to execute communications strategies and maximise media/content opportunities
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Sound knowledge of the full spectrum of communication methodologies and tools
  • Able to work independently and at the same time, work effectively across teams to deliver impactful public communications
  • Singaporean
