We are excited to announce an opening for a talented Senior Associate to join our Compensation Consulting team within Total Rewards. The compensation consulting function is responsible for partnering with HRBPs to advise business units throughout Capital One on all compensation matters. We partner closely with HRBPs and other eHR centers of excellence to provide targeted compensation solutions out our clients. The ideal candidate for this role should exhibit strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills towards all stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Compensation or at least 1 year of experience in Finance or at least 1 year of experience in Analytics
  • At least 1 year of experience in Excel or Sheets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human Resources
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • 3+ years of experience in Compensation or 3+ years of experience in Finance or 3+ years of experience in Analytics
  • 3+ years of experience building compensation models and conducting pay analysis
  • 1+ year of experience with agile delivery
  • 1+ year of experience with Workday
  • Advanced excel skills (e.g., VBA, macros, array functions)
  • Knowledge of human resources and compensation including knowledge of relevant Federal, State, Local laws/regulations relating to compensation
  • Experience with benchmarking tools (MarketPay) or reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects)

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with recruiting on comp education and local amplification of compensation changes
  • Conduct job matching, benchmarking, and market analysis necessary to ensure pay is aligned to market by leveraging knowledge of market data
  • Support Mid-Year and Year-End focal cycles supporting the team horizontally on central communications, timelines, summary decks for leaders
  • Support educational materials, and communications designed to provide associates, managers, and HR partners with timely and accurate information regarding compensation programs
  • Support priorities across the Compensation consulting team such running local investment programs, delivering annual pay processes, deep dives on compensation competitive assessments
  • Assist in retention request submission, special comp trends review, external offer reviews, monthly audits, and ad-hoc analysis
