Senior Associate, Horizontal Communications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with project and/or process management
  • Strong writing and story-telling skills with sound editorial judgment
  • The ability to distill complex content into clear, concise and engaging communications
  • Proficient at creating communication cascades within matrixed organizations
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple, and sometimes competing, activities and complex projects to high quality conclusion, on-time, and within budget
  • A track record of consistently acting with urgency as needed
  • Strong customer-orientation and proven track record of collaborative work relationships

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a communications specialist

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of experience as a communications specialist, project manager or HR specialist
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial services

Responsibilities:

The US Card Communications team is seeking an organized communicator who can bring fresh ideas to inform, connect, and inspire our associates. In this fast paced position, you’ll use creative thinking to develop content that brings our communications strategies to life. Our goal is to build out the CS&S and US Card brands, bolster our long-term business strategy, activate our unique culture and values, and foster associate’s belief in our leaders.
Through a multi-channel approach, you’ll inform and engage associates while helping them stay connected to our goals, strategy, and culture. You’ll develop project communications plans, innovate new ways to “WOW” our associates through campaign delivery, deeply understand stakeholder needs, assess the performance of our communications through metrics analysis, recognize and celebrate our associates, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Executive Communications consultants for both top-of-house CS&S and the Customer Channels team by executing on the communications strategies that support the needs of US Card executives and the US Card business.
  • Prepare, edit and format deliverables including newsletters, emails, message campaigns and other communications to support team strategies.
  • Support the planning and execution of team events from ideation through production, including Town Hall meetings, executive forums, and special events.
  • Evaluate performance of communications based on metrics and other leading key performance indicators; recommend refinements to communications strategies, messaging and feedback mechanisms.
  • Leverage creative storytelling to develop and execute associate-focused campaign strategies for milestone moments that matter throughout the year.
  • Partner with and influence key team members to build a culture of appreciation and recognition through events, intranet articles, local newsletter features, and video storytelling.
  • Provide horizontal tactical support and execution for other US Card Communications teammates as needed.
  • Serve as an integral member of the US Card Communications team.
