Position overview: EY is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Operations Services team as a Senior Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to provide critical support across a diverse range of finance and accounting functions, directly contributing to our portfolio of clients’ success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred. We will consider candidates at the final stage of qualification (up to 2 exams left to complete) and actively looking to qualify.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or demonstrate a strong understanding of key financial operations preferably in a professional services environment
  • Strong numerical and financial management skills, with an ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Capable of effectively communicating with both team members and clients.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to learn from and contribute to the work of your colleagues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a highly curious mind.
  • Positive work attitude, personable, and able to establish strong client relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily finance operations for a portfolio of clients.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to adhere to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Interact with clients under supervision and provide valuable insights, demonstrating curiosity by asking strategic questions.
  • Perform detailed analysis on business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to aid in forecasting future revenues and expenses.
  • Aid in the maintenance and implementation of accounting systems, leveraging new accounting technologies where possible.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Support line managers in various compliance activities and financial processes on a timely basis
  • Contribute to team’s success by developing one’s skills, sharing knowledge with teammates and adhering to company’s policies and legal regulations.
