The Growth and Origination team provides a differentiated specialist service proposition for larger, more complex, and new-to-bank customers. The deal team use their industry and credit expertise in addition to their market reputation to deliver on high quality, consistent customer acquisition for the Bank. This team was established to support Bankers across the B&PB network with significant and complex new-to-bank lending transactions and lead the deal to give bankers capacity release to focus on existing clients.
As a Senior Associate you are technically adept at running complex credit processes. You will be capable of conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis on new-to-bank prospects with >$20m turnover (typically debt requirements of $20m - $80m) across a range of specialised and diversified industries in Business Bank.
Responsibilities:
AS A SENIOR ASSOCIATE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Driving and supporting the credit preparation process on large and complex deals in conjunction with the banker, including financial modelling, analysis, and structuring.
- In partnership with the Deal Lead, drive the credit submission, negotiations, and documentation.
- Become a point of contact for any customer activities related to the transaction.
- Ensuring exceptional customer experience and advocacy are achieved.
- Research and network with prospective clients.
- Working with Leads to train, coach and development of new entrants and existing staff.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- A can-do attitude, a willing and proactive nature, backed up with determination and a will to win.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Possess strong skills in complex credit, cash flow lending, financial modelling, transaction structuring and documentation.
