Senior Associate – Retail Client Service

The purpose of the Senior Associate role is to contribute to the objectives and targets of the Customer Division by delivering quality client servicing to all internal stakeholders and retail clients, through the completion of RFIs and RFPs for Advisers, Dealer groups, High Net worth business, Research Houses and Platforms.

This role sits within the Research team which is responsible for:

  • Comprehensively servicing all retail research house clients
  • Driving the existing ratings processes, working with boutiques, distribution partners and the Life business to achieve upgrades and limit downgrades, as well as maximising model portfolio/managed account portfolio positions with consultants.
  • The delivery of quality client servicing to all retail clients, including the completion of Request for Information (RFIs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for Advisers, Dealer groups, High Net worth business and Platforms.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Overall management of client information requirements, both quantitative and qualitative in nature.
  • Work with the Retail Client Service Associate with prioritisation of workflow.
  • Work with the Associate to compile responses to RFIs received from retail clients, including advisers, dealer groups, high net worth businesses, independent consultants and platforms, in line with specified deadlines and to a high quality.
  • Ensure that Research House pre-review data work, including online portals and RFIs, is completed.
  • Complete regular client reporting by required deadlines.
  • Liaise with internal parties, including affiliates and ESG specialists, as required to obtain information requested by these RFPs/RFIs as well as seeking review/approval prior to submission.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the broader Retail Sales team to assist in retail client matters.
  • Retail database management, for Morningstar, Zenith, Lonsec and Financial Express.
  • Establish a relationship with Artega and ensure all regular data requirements are being met.
  • Track and report capacity data in line with stated guidelines and targets.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to make the retail client service function more efficient and to reduce errors.
  • Ensure regular maintenance of the investment staff spreadsheet along with the FSC documents.
  • Working with Business Development and Key Account Associates to ensure they have access to the information to help pre-populate some more basic RFIs and other client queries.

Role requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Financial Services, specifically Funds Management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, RG146 compliant
  • Strong financial markets and products knowledge
  • Comprehensive understanding of the research process and proven track record of success within a research team across asset classes
  • Strong excel and data skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement and best practice
