Development centers are located in the US, Asia and Europe.
For the location in Europe (Belgium, Beerse) there is a vacancy for an Associate scientist for solid formulation of novel oral modalities
In the Oral Solid Development department in Beerse, Belgium, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated colleague who shares our ambition to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of peptides, proteins and other modalities currently typically delivered via parenteral injection.
Oral Solid Development (OSD) consists of 45+ dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues from ten different nationalities. Within OSD, a team focusing on Novel Oral Modalities for Advanced Drug Delivery (NOMADd) is established. NOMADd’s ambition is to develop new formulation concepts for oral delivery of macromolecules and non-conventional small molecules, and our tasks comprise activities of formulation and coordination within pre-formulation, biopharmaceutics, biophysics, analysis, DMPK and generation of intellectual property.
As an associated scientist within NOMADd your main objective will be to focus on formulation of peptides, therapeutic proteins and other macromolecules into oral solid dosage forms. You will be involved in daily planning and execution of formulation activities, such as small-scale preparation of tablets, encapsulation, GI-targeting, etc. You will engage in follow-up of the scientific work, appropriately document the scientific data and secure progress of the project deliverables on the product portfolio. The formulation work will be done in close collaboration with other scientists as well as with our experienced laboratory technicians. You will work closely together with Pharmacology, Analysis, DMPK and other R&D teams. You will contribute to intellectual property, knowledge sharing & troubleshooting. This job opportunity will offer you a job with a high level of independence and flexibility.
