Description:
Band 7 Specialist Audiologist
We are looking for an experienced Audiologist to join our team. We are ideally looking for skills in specialist paediatrics (diagnostics and rehab) and / or balance, but the role has scope for flexibility with access to clinics across the service depending on skills, experience and interests. The service is committed to training and wider professional development set within a supportive and friendly team.
You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Audiology and hold professional state registration.
Clinical Role & Management Role
You will have a solid foundation of experience and can demonstrate specialist skills, preferably in Paediatrics and / or Balance.
You will be working independently in this area and have a solid under-pinning knowledge and experience.
As an integrated team seeing patients of all ages, there is scope to work across service pillars adding scope for variety and development in the role.
The service is proud to be IQIPS accredited since 2014 and, as part of the team, you will be part of pushing forward service quality and the technical knowledge of the department.
You will be part of a friendly team who are keen to share learning and are supportive in peer development. There is an active research programme and a proven track record of creating opportunity for wider training, research and academic study.
You will be part of the day-to-day operational decision-making to maintain effective clinics and a quality service.
You will be encouraged to take ownership of an area to oversee and develop.
You will be encouraged to develop novel ideas and implement change with a view to improving care, working practice and the reputation of the service.
There will be opportunity for line management and / or training supervision.
You will work with other members of the senior management team to ensure that quality is maintained across the services and that IQIPS accreditation is retained.
