A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Senior Automation Engineer (Align and Attach), you will partner with a cross-functional team to lead MKS on its journey to further automate the alignment and attachment of complex opto-mechanical assemblies. Our team is building the foundation for an automated future. In this exciting, fast paced role you will report to the Director of Automation Engineering.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Developing the control software and interfaces to robots, instruments and devices.
  • Working with design and development engineers to promote automation early on, to verify and validate the design during the conceptual and prototyping phases, and to implement these designs into automated volume production.
  • Developing, inventing and implementing control algorithms to automate align, attach, and testing of optomechanical assemblies.
  • Participating in the end-to-end development lifecycle and find/propose ways to optimize manufacturability through automation.
  • Generating process flows and diagrams so that the automated steps are easily understood and safely handled.
  • Adapting creative concepts with hands-on work, using data from results to iterate and optimize solutions.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Physics, Software, Automation Engineering, or related Engineering field.
  • Robotics industry knowledge and familiarity
