LawVu’s Product & Engineering team is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer, who takes pride in crafting clean, robust, readable code and is interested in working with a team of highly skilled and experienced software engineers working on cutting-edge legal technology.
As a Senior Backend Engineer at LawVu you’ll be expected to tackle change head on. Exciting software problems will keep you up at night and finding solutions for the seemingly impossible will be the ultimate reward. You’ll have a drive to expand your knowledge, the humility to laugh at mistakes made (after the appropriate amount of time has passed) and the desire to share learnings with others for the betterment of the whole team.
In this role you will work closely with the rest of the Product & Engineering team to deliver value to our customers and ensure we are geared for rapid expansion. We have offices in both Tauranga or Wellington but are open to fully remote within New Zealand as well.

  • Be awesome
  • Design and build simple, scalable solutions
  • Contribute to system architecture design and implementation
  • Maintain and improve strict security requirements for a multi-tenant environment
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Expand and improve automated testing frameworks
