Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Backend) to join our Ecwid (E-Series) team in North America. In this role, you will support in leading the development of software solutions that empower merchants with the essential tools they need to thrive in the market. You will be part of a dynamic product development team dedicated to continuous value delivery. We are passionate about upholding software engineering best practices and building resilient, scalable solutions for our valued customers. Additionally, you will provide technical mentorship and support our teams in achieving the extraordinary.
Lightspeed’s Ecwid team is a function within our eCommerce business unit and our goal is to enable merchants to grow their businesses. As Lightspeed grows, we are bringing and integrating the Lightspeed ecosystem including payments, shipping, and other services to help our merchants build the most unique experience for their customers.
Please note that fluency in Russian + English is a mandatory requirement for this role.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating and extending functionality of our products by contributing to our product platform
  • Developing clean and highly maintainable code
  • Collaborating as part of a team (squad) to deliver product features and functionality
  • Collaborating with product managers, developers and stakeholders as part of a cross-functional team to deliver features and functionality
  • Extending your own skills by learning from and growing with the team
  • Be part of defining the product transformation as Lightspeed evolves its offerings to merchants & consumers globally

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Advanced experience with Golang.
  • Proficiency with the Spring Framework.
  • Solid experience with relational databases and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • Familiarity with programming patterns and microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to modern and mainstream technologies.
  • A product-oriented mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ownership, openness, and commitment.
  • Full professional proficiency in English + Russian languages

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Mentorship skills to help others grow.
  • Industry knowledge of eCommerce or POS systems.
