Senior Backend Developers (Golang)

We are seeking for seasoned Go software developers to join a newly formed team that will work in tandem with our existing external partners.
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, and your contributions will be vital in developing backend services that power our innovative products. This role places you at the heart of our strategic expansion, where your expertise will drive the growth and capabilities of our core technological offerings.
Your responsibilities will include building scalable, high-performance software using Go. You will work collaboratively within your team and with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain features that significantly improve the user experience for golfers around the globe.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend services that support the functionality of our products.
• Collaborate with other teams to design solutions that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensure the creation of reliable, scalable, and efficient software that meets our requirements, and the needs of our users.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, game development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in writing and shipping high-quality software with Go.
• A strong background in backend development, with a focus on building reliable, scalable systems.
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with cloud services, microservice architectures, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaborative mindset.
• Fluency in Finnish or English is required for effective communication within the role.

Considered as an advantage

• Proficiency in C/C++ or other programming languages, enriching development flexibility and enabling the integration of a wider range of technologies and libraries.
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform and their services.
