YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Several years of active experience with agile software development, preferably matching our currently used technologies: Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and Postgres Database
• Knowledge of software craftsmanship targeting CI/CD, clean code.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform is a big plus.
• You are familiar with software development practices in Agile environment, where concepts like “Teamwork and open communication” and “Pair programming and knowledge sharing” simply feel natural to you
• Developing yourself and the Team is always on your mind.
• Collaborative work in international teams inspires you.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) to join our agile and international team. In this role, you will be developing our Emission Compensation Tracker product whose objective is to support K+N business activities in the area of sustainability namely to foster an economical environment where so-called “sustainable aviation fuel”, biofuels etc are available in the market at a sufficient degree and with attractive conditions. You will be joining a global team of engineers and analysts and build products to provide innovative solutions to delight your stakeholders. We want you to help take us to the next level!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understanding business requirements and translating them into running software.
• Managing the entire product lifecycle - from ideation through specification, prototyping, integration and maintenance.
• Provide and operate Cost Efficient Infrastructure
• Continuous improvement of our processes and working methods.
• “You Build It, You Own It”, the team is responsible for the whole software lifecycle
