Tasks

  • Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to define and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, performant, and reliable backend services and APIs.
  • Ensure the security, stability, and performance of our platform by implementing best practices in software development.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive our backend infrastructure forward.
  • Work closely together with our founders, CTO and developers.
  • Teach your team members best practices and help them grow both on a professional and a personal level.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain a high standard of code quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Rust, Java, or Go.
  • Experience working with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and message queues.
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices, including unit testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Bias toward action and the ability to work proactively without a top-down to-do list.
