SENIOR BANANA FARM MANAGER – FM1828

Eshowe Area – KwaZulu Natal: Our client is looking for a Senior Banana Farm Manager to join the team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous
• At least 10 years’ experience in crop farming, preferably in bananas
• Computer literate
• Must be hands on, trustworthy & disciplined, and able to work as part of a team
• Strong administration skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to speak Zulu
• Mechanically orientated
• Valid drivers license

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Take control of the existing banana operation from setting annual budgets and then working within these budgets to achieve a good financial result.
• Monitoring and controlling the financial aspect of the operation which includes all the banana sales.
• Ensuring the field production of the orchard is optimal by adopting hands on management style
• Motivating and supervising the labour force to ensure optimal production from the staff
• Liasing with parties who provide technical services to the company
• Short- and long-term planning for the operations.
