As a(n) Human Resources Specialist 1 for our US Head Office office, you will contribute to our team by:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 years related experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Must have experience managing all types of employee leaves of absence in multi-state environment.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and changing timelines.

    The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and administration of benefits programs.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinate with internal communication team and consultants on the development of communication and education materials to enhance employee understanding of benefit offerings.
  • Evaluate and revise internal processes to increase efficiency. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes.
  • Coordinate with benefit plan providers, vendors, and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Monitor interfaces with benefits administration system, vendors, and payroll.
  • Administer employee leaves of absence including FMLA, STD, LTD, state disability leaves, and paid parental leave in conjunction with leave administrator, HR, and payroll.
  • Customer support in all areas of benefits, for both contacts in the district offices and employees.
  • Oversee coordination of wellness programs including collaboration with district wellness committees, health fairs, webinars, and other events and communications.
