Description:

We are excited about a brand new role for a Senior Billing Operations Engineer within a well established ICT company known for their innovative solutions including CaaS among many other voice, connectivity, cloud and security solutions.
The position is based at the Head Office in the greater Sandton area (Johannesburg).
Join this innovative team as a Senior Billing Operations Engineer, where you’ll take charge of the core infrastructure and lead the technical delivery of Billing services. From developing and deploying billing infrastructure to ensuring uptime, maintenance, and optimization, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our systems running smoothly. Collaborate with various teams, contribute to our technical strategy, engage with clients and vendors, and support product development. Your expertise will drive innovation and stability in our billing operations, making this role a key player in our success story.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

8 - 10 Years in a technical VoIP billing role in a service provider environment (this rie will include billing across all platforms including connectivity, cloud etc)
8 - 10 Years working experience with Linux / Unix based operating systems
8 - 10 Years experience with SQL databases
Perl or Python scripting skills would be very beneficial

Responsibilities:

Billing System Management,
Rate Management,
Billing Process Optimization,
Customer Billing Support such as - provide support to customers regarding billing inquiries, disputes, and account management related to VoIP and other services. This includes resolving billing discrepancies and assisting with billing-related issues.
Reporting and Analysis,
Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as finance, customer support, and technical operations to ensure smooth billing operations and resolve any interdepartmental issues related to billing.
Play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, customer satisfaction, and efficient operations in the service provider’s environment.
