Description:

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a Bioinformatics Engineer to join our Data Sciences team to lead efforts to implement our data commons, harmonize processes and data across discovery and translational groups, and scale data infrastructure as we move towards the clinic. You will be working cross-functionally with business domain experts, data science, and information technology partners to design and implement solutions for storing, managing, and utilizing public and proprietary datasets. You will be involved end-to-end in shaping and delivering the data and software engineering solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead portfolio of multiple data projects and work closely with business and IT functions to deliver data projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Gather needs, propose and implement solutions to ingest, organize, and unify internal and external data sources.
  • Define and evolve the system architecture as the portfolio progresses, shaping and implementing system features and user-facing capabilities.
  • Coordinate and drive the adoption of standard representations of drug discovery data and metadata to integrate and harmonize proprietary data sources.
  • Lead development of provisioning data pipelines for reporting and data science, including implementation of Engitix Data Commons.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of data by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and other security measures.
  • Champion and ensure data integrity through best practices in FAIR data, reproducibility, and documentation
