The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Boeing Software Factory Integration Software Engineer (Virtual) to join the Boeing Software Factory team located in Centennial, CO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Engineering Test and Technology (ET&T) business organization.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing tools and supporting devops tasks related to Boeing Software Factory Integration.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience developing Python modules and/or scripts
  • 3+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems, using one or more real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • 3+ years of experience with C/C++ development
  • 3+ years of experience with Bazel (Module development preferred)
  • Rust development experience
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:

  • A fast paced, small team that assists programs moving into the Boeing Software Factory by providing devops support that includes (but not limited to):
  • Gitlab CI Pipeline implementation and updates to existing pipelines
  • Bazel module updates and implementation to support various development languages (Python, C++, Ada, etc…)
  • Python tool development
  • Works under general direction with various teams
