ABOUT THE FIRM

We are currently partnering with a multi-disciplinary medium-sized firm in North London (40 mins from Moorgate), and they are actively seeking a Senior Bookkeeper. This firm has experienced exceptional growth over the last two years and has big expansion plans for the next few years. Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of between 10 - 30 clients consisting of sole traders and incorporated entites from various industries. You will have direct client contact and autonomy to manage your portfolio as you see fit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Complete general bookkeeping duties, including capturing daily financial transactions, bank reconciliations, maintaining and revising general ledgers, and managing AP and AR records
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and payroll
  • Reviewing work of Junior Bookkeepers and trainees
  • Answering client queries in a timely manner
  • Ensuring trial balances are complete in preparation for hand over to the accounts department
