Description:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as an art director in an advertising agency
  • Has a minimum of a 3-year qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Graphic Design
  • Well-versed in digital (digital art direction experience is essential)
  • Experience with brand design and brand identity
  • A portfolio showcasing your work and experience
  • Understand printing, repro, photography & digital process
  • Understanding of best practice for print – NB
  • Efficient use of (Apple Mac) DTP system, Illustrator as well as Photoshop, and InDesign is essential, premier pro (adobe) or after affects & Adobe suite
  • High level of creativity and has the ability to be innovative
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualise & designing world class retail window and in-store spaces with our Visual teams
  • Design – build concepts through researching trends on colours, design, layout & typography to deliver on brand
  • Designing of marketing communications as well as content generation to be used across all digital channels
  • Research trending and propping and able to present back to teams
  • Be able to effectively visualise concepts (2+3D) and drive translation with design and Visual teams
  • Briefing internal or external partners to execute concept
  • Ensuring work is delivered on time & in budget
  • Custodian of the Markham CI – across all channels
  • Manage the creation of marketing material from concept and design to final artwork
  • Conceptualise and production of fresh ideas for online /digital material
  • Presenting designs, concepts to departments and incorporates their feedback into the final designs.
  • Assist production process to ensure that the designs meet highest quality of print and digital standards.
  • Collaborating with other departments: - working closely with other departments, such as creative manager, marketing managers, and product managers, to ensure the visual designs align with the overall marketing strategy
