ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re going through an exciting time at the bank, our business and technology are transforming, and you can be part of that.
To uplift our focus on data and analytics, the Group Data Office (GDO) was established in early 2022 to own the Group Data and Analytics Strategy and drive the Group level data capabilities, acting as an independent functional unit reporting into the Chief Transformation Officer. In this context, the Group Data Office sets the frameworks and standards, and drives best practice capability uplift across the organisation in relation to data management, data governance, the data modernisation roadmap, and deriving value from data through analytics and insight.
Reporting to the Head of Data Management, you will be responsible for delivery and support of enterprise frameworks and practices that support Data Ownership and governance of enterprise Data Assets. You will do this through delivery of strategic enterprise initiatives that provide exceptional business value to users.
You will play a critical role supporting the change required to uplift business maturity in data management practices. You will support the identification of opportunities for change, working with senior leaders, business units and technology practices to embed new governance standards and facilitate the adoption of processes and tools required to share and govern enterprise data at scale.
This is a key role in influencing change at the enterprise level, demonstrating value and identifying opportunities for improvement to bring the organisation closer to target state maturity in line with the Group Data and Analytics Strategy.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Drive to succeed in a challenging environment and the ability to readily adapt to change.
- The ability to effectively influence and lead senior stakeholders through functional boundaries to drive enterprise outcomes.
- Experience to work collaboratively and inclusively in any sized setting, with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds and develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships.
- Proven time management and organisation skills (must be able to breakdown, plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines).
- A high level of social and written skills for facilitating common understanding of complex situations between a broad range of technical and business stakeholders.
- The ability to make current state assessments and identify transitional states of change towards target state to simplify complexity whilst maintaining sight of overarching business objectives and priorities.
- Experience working within an agile delivery framework, maintaining engagement with key stakeholders and sponsors to retain commitment to the delivery of business objectives across short and long term horizons
